BIOIDENTICAL HORMONE PELLET THERAPY

Say Goodbye to Weekly Injections: Hello, Six-Month Hormone Freedom

SCHEDULE A CONSULTATION

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, with its bi-annual hormone pellet delivery, offers a superior and convenient alternative to weekly testosterone injections. By using hormones that are biologically identical to those your body naturally produces, this method ensures consistent, long-lasting hormonal balance. The bi-annual pellet therapy not only reduces the frequency of treatments but also provides a steady hormone release, avoiding the peaks and troughs often experienced with weekly injections. This leads to better overall well-being, mood stability, and energy levels, aligning more closely with your body's natural rhythms.

What is this?

What is it?

As men progress in age, hormonal imbalances can lead to a range of symptoms that affect quality of life. Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) offers a sophisticated approach to address these challenges. Unlike synthetic alternatives, BHRT uses hormones that are molecularly identical to those naturally produced by the male body.
How it's Administered?

What is it derived from?

Derived from plant compounds such as yams and soy, BHRT is designed to integrate seamlessly with your body's systems. This therapy is tailored, leveraging compounding pharmacists to deliver dosages that meet the unique needs of each individual. The result is a potential alleviation from symptoms such as insomnia, chronic fatigue, memory challenges, and diminished libido.

How is it administered?

BHRT can be administered in several ways, depending on the specific needs and preferences of the patient, including: Topical Creams, Pellets, Oral Capsules, Patches and Injections.

Why BHRT Pellet Therapy

There are many delivery methods that can be utilized to administer BHRT; however, data shows the most efficient method by way of absorption and availability to deliver hormones in both men and women is by pellet therapy. Pellet Therapy provides many benefits to both men and females.

How It Works

The implantation of hormone pellets is a simple and relatively painless procedure performed under local anesthesia to “numb” the skin. The BHRT pellets are inserted in the upper buttocks by an experienced healthcare provider, through a small incision. Your healthcare provider will determine the correct dosage of hormones that will be used, as evident by results from a blood test.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bioidentical Pellet Therapy is a hormone replacement method in which replaces the natural hormones men and women lose with age. The pellets contain either estradiol or testosterone, which are pressed, or fused into tiny solid cylinders. When administered they deliver consistent and healthy levels of hormones for 3-5 months in women and 4-6 months in men. Pellets dissolve inside the body on their own and are re-implanted as needed depending on how rapidly the patient metabolizes the hormones. Pellets avoid the fluctuations of hormone levels seen with other methods of delivery, providing more consistent hormone levels over a longer period.

Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) has actually been used in the United States since 1938. Bio-identical Hormones are all natural plant based products made from yams and a small amount of soy. These hormones have the same molecular structure as the hormones produced within our own bodies. There are numerous studies worldwide that document the benefits and safety of BHRT. These studies also report a lower incidence of side effects when compared with prescription drugs. BHRT should not be confused with “synthetic hormones which are typically found in many creams, gels and injectables used for hormone replacement.

One of greatest advantages of pellet therapy is the low incidence of side effects. Although extremely rare, side effects may include: slight bruising, minor bleeding, infection or extrusion of the pellets.

Your doctor will interpret your blood tests and determine an appropriate dosage specifically designed for your body. Women who receive estrogen can feel significantly better in 24-36 hours. Men and women who receive testosterone will start to feel relief of symptoms in 10-14 days. After your pellet insertion, you should avoid vigorous exercise for a few days as directed by your physician. Your doctor will evaluate your hormone levels on an ongoing basis and monitor any future changes needed.

You can obtain BHRT Pellets by scheduling an appointment with a trained, certified physician who specializes in hormonal therapy. In order to obtain the correct dosage and proper placement of the pellets, the doctor should be knowledgeable and specifically trained in pellet therapy!

Testosterone is essential for healthy male body function. It increases Interest in sexual activity, maintains muscle and bone, helps preserve normal oil secretion in the skin and hair, and both, directly and indirectly, affects parts of the brain that are responsible for normal mental processes, concentration, and mood. Additionally, Testosterone is necessary for optimal heart and artery health.   Andropause, the male equivalent to menopause in women, is an imbalance in normal hormone levels, namely testosterone and affects all men to some degree as they age. When abundant, testosterone is at the core of energy, strength, stamina, and sexuality. When deficient, testosterone can be a precursor to disease and early demise

Beginning at around thirty years of age, testosterone production in men decreases as a result of many causes, with aging as the most common. Between the ages of forty and fifty, many men experience a profound drop in both total testosterone levels, and the percentage of testosterone that is readily available for the body’s cells to function normally. The decline in testosterone bioavailability, or “free testosterone” causes the body’s testosterone receptor cells to malfunction and no longer respond to the testosterone signals.

Andropause is the direct result of low testosterone levels as well as decreased testosterone function. Testosterone deficiency can negatively impact nearly every cell in the male body and lead to the development of several major degenerative diseases.

Although estrogen replacement for women has long been a controversial subject, the vast majority of studies show a risk-benefit ratio that favors hormone replacement therapy. Considerable research on testosterone replacement in men shows a very similar balance of benefit over risk and lead to a rapid improvement in overall physical function.

Testosterone therapy can improve the overall health and well-being of aging men by improving sex drive, mental function, and energy levels while reducing the risk of cardiovascular and associated diseases.

Testosterone therapy with pellets has become a highly sought-after method of bioidentical hormone replacement therapy in men, as it mimics the body’s natural secretion process of testosterone. Testosterone pellets are a compounded, bioidentical form of natural testosterone and implanted beneath the skin. The implanted testosterone pellets slowly dissolve over a period of four to six months, releasing a safe and consistent amount of testosterone into the body.

Testosterone therapy with pellets offers the benefits of individual dosing, and maintenance of healthy testosterone levels without the undesirable side effects often experienced with oral or transdermal testosterone products, such as increased clotting factors or impaired liver function.

Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy with testosterone pellets can be a highly efficient and convenient method to prevent and relieve symptoms of andropause.
